BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System® (BBTRS®) is built around a 6-Element approach that supports your body’s natural process for releasing chronic tension and emotional trauma. It opens the way for feelings of joy, deep relaxation, and intimacy with self and others.
The entire BBTRS® progression is designed in an integrated series to energize, open, and balance your whole being. The entire series includes seven sessions that, when conducted in order, release trauma from specific “belts of tension” roughly aligning with the chakra system. However, you also can use this flexible system to target specific issues for personal growth. For example, you might choose to target part of your body that is expressing ill health or tension, or you might want to explore how a certain situation might have lodged in your physical body. With private sessions, you can steer your experience, and also work closely with the practitioner for support in exploring your personal growth.
BBTRS® practitioners create a safe setting to breathe, sense your body, and explore feelings in a productive way. You’ll also be supported to learn how to identify and connect with your own internal resources, which you can turn to for support and comfort whenever necessary.
Find a BBTRS® Trainee near you – some offer free practice sessions.
An average session lasts about 90 minutes. It’s best to wear loose-fitting clothing that supports movement and relaxation. Don’t forget to have drinking water nearby!
Sessions include:
• An initial discussion that describes the overall experience—and helps to identify and support your specific needs.
• Continuous, deep, connected breathing that charges up your body and sets the pace of your session.
• The activation of your autonomic nervous system, through which tensions, past experiences, and holding patterns in the mind/body are accessed.
• Support from a BBTRS®® practitioner, who offers guidance with whatever is necessary, including verbal cues, conscious touch, and movement support—all to facilitate physical and emotional release.
• An ending meditation/integration period, followed by sharing, as needed, all to ensure that the experience has safely concluded.
