No. Many participants experience significant personal and professional growth through individual trainings and retreats, regardless of whether they pursue full certification.
Yes. Many participants attend Training Retreats for personal healing, professional development, or embodied learning without immediately pursuing full certification.
The Advanced Practitioner Certification is a more comprehensive certification pathway designed for practitioners wanting deeper embodied training and an in-person facilitation experience.
To complete the Advanced Practitioner Certification pathway, participants are required to complete the BBTRS® Online Practitioner Certification and three separate BBTRS® Training Retreats.
Participants may begin with either the Online Practitioner Certification or an In-Person Training Retreat. However, we recommended that you begin with the Online Practitioner Certification, so that you can more deeply embody and experience the work in the Training Retreats. However, you may start your journey with an in-person retreat if this is better suited to your requirements.
Most participants complete the Advanced Practitioner Certification pathway within approximately 18 months to 2 years, depending on retreat attendance, personal pace, and certification completion requirements.

Upon successful completion of the Online Practitioner Certification requirements, participants are certified to facilitate BBTRS® online sessions using the BBTRS® Six Element approach to trauma release.
Most participants complete the certification requirements within 3 to 6 months of the training beginning, depending on their pace and the timing of certification submissions.
Yes—the online certification must be completed by anyone aiming to achieve the Advanced Professional Practitioner Certification (for those on the practitioner track). Participants seeking an experience focused on their own personal development are also welcome and will find great benefit from attending.
